A New Beginning for Rehabilitation and Hope: Inauguration of San Dimas Farm

A new, special space for rehabilitation and family restoration, supported by volunteers and community efforts.

On Saturday, February 22, 2025 the long-awaited inauguration of San Dimas Farm took place, marking a milestone in the rehabilitation efforts for men and women from the Estremera Penitentiary Center. A beautiful, serene corner of nature just minutes away from the center, this farm has been graciously donated to Prison Fellowship Spain for the next 20 years by a volunteer who believes in second chances.

San Dimas Farm will serve as a safe space for the individuals and their families, offering opportunities for training, social behavior normalization and taking responsibility for the harm caused. It is more than just a place—it’s a chance for hope, rehabilitation and healing.

The most touching moment of the inauguration was when a group of prisoners, the ones experiencing the joy of having a space they can truly call their own, stepped out and celebrated this special day.

Though the first phase of development is nearly complete, much work remains. Like all meaningful projects, the global Prison Fellowship International family is invited to pray that San Dimas Farm will build a lasting legacy of change and support.
