Over the past couple of months, I have presented various aspects of a holistic framework for understanding the cycle of crime and positioning our ministry programs. This framework:
- Outlines key aspects, starting with a depiction of the stages of the criminal justice system and its connection to the community.
- Examines the underlying causes of crime, considering individual vulnerabilities and external factors.
- Addresses the variables that influence prisoner numbers, recognizing they don’t always directly correlate with crime rates.
- Emphasizes the importance of mapping key stakeholders and understanding the theory of change to optimize program effectiveness and advocacy efforts.
Ultimately, this approach aims to help PFI and its NMs effectively target their programs and advocate for broader change within our communities.
