National Ministries Spotlight: PF Cambodia & PF Solomon Islands
“He is the last person you'd expected to graduate from our program.”
Shared by Sabun Ou from PF Cambodia during the Asia Pacific Regional Prayer Session in March, my heart was moved by the encouraging story of how a prisoner, who used to mock the people attending faith-based programs, broke free in his spirit, willingly allowing his life to be transformed by the Lord. Today, he leads the church in Preah Vihear Prison. He has also started churches around his home area, where he continues to serve the Lord through his impact on the communities, sharing the message of the Lord's deliverance and hope in his life.
'For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.' - 1 Samuel 16:7
We are often quick to label people in view of our experiences, worldviews, and stereotypes. But, we must not stand between men and Mercy. God's grace is sufficient for all. Just as the testimony has shown us the reshaping of a convict to one convicted in Christ, we too must look at the hearts of every lives God has called us to minister to. Let us labour together in the Lord's work, as we stand united in one mind, one spirit, one faith.
