Prison Fellowship International's family of ministries across the Middle East and North Africa region serve prisoners, ex-prisoners, their families and victims of crime.
Prisoners in the Middle East and North Africa are often left alone to cope with their feelings of hopelessness and despair. National Ministries within the region are developing both short-term and long-term strategies to serve these marginalized groups. Their work with prisoners has earned them allies from other faith backgrounds, as well as global recognition.
Possessing the Good Land Ahead
What binds the global fellowship of Prison Fellowship International together is not geography, language or resources. It is the unmistakable call of God upon ordinary men and women who have chosen to walk into places many others avoid; prisons, fractured communities and forgotten spaces, carrying the hope of Christ with humility and courage.

The Middle East and North Africa region is one of the most unique in the world. Our staff and volunteers in these countries face challenges unlike anywhere else, and yet they are incredibly resilient and committed to transforming the lives of prisoners and their children. Restorative justice is incredibly important in this region. Getting people to work together for the betterment of the most marginalized and creating more harmony between the Christian and Muslim communities has been one of our foremost focuses; and it’s working.
